TCL launches in UK with 4K TVs from £338

Over the years, Chinese TV brand TCL has built a reputation for making an abundance of affordable TVs. Last year it became the it became the third-biggest brand in North America and, according to the company, its LCD TV sales are growing rapidly year-on-year.

Almost ten years after TCL-branded products first became available in several European countries, TCL has now launched in the UK. It's armed with eight budget 4K TVs across three ranges.

First up is the DP608 range, which comes in 43in (£338) and 55in (£499) sizes and features Freeview Play and HDR support for HDR10+ and HLG formats.

The DP648 series is available in 43in (£349), 50in (£429), 55in (£479) and 65in (£899) sizes, and expands the DP608’s spec sheet with 10-bit panels and wide colour gamut, as well as a 9.9mm-thick metal design.

They will soon be joined by the 55in and 65in DC748 models, which build further on their siblings’ specs with an integrated JBL soundbar.

All three TCL ranges feature a range of broadcast TV and on-demand services, including 70 channels (and 15 HD channels), BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4, Demand 5 and UKTV Play.

Now that they're readily available in the UK (via Amazon), we look forward to taking them for a spin in our test rooms soon.
