The Primary E is a multiple Award winner that nails the basics at this price, delivering a detailed, spacious, balanced and entertaining sound. The set-up is minimal and while it looks plain, this 'purist' design is a great starter hi-fi turntable for those getting into vinyl.

The Debut Evo 2 is easy to use and comes in a variety of colourful hues, and you can get your hands on one that's currently available for £50 off. Audio-Technica’s excellent LP5x turntable is another deck that has stood the test of time, delivering a richly detailed, robust and sure-footed performance that's enjoyable and easy to use. The price has increased to £380 across retailers, making this a pretty big discount.
