The first Apple Black Friday deals are live, with some retailers offering savings on iPads, MacBooks and more. But this year Apple stores in the UK are not officially participating in Black Friday, we've been told.

For now, the best Apple Black Friday deals are via Currys/PC World and John Lewis. At PC World you can find £30 off all iPads, with iPad Minis available from just £169 and £80 off all MacBooks.

The John Lewis Black Friday deals include £100 off Apple MacBooks and iMacs, £30 off selected iPad Airs and £50 off selected iPad Minis.

Elsewhere Amazon UK, which started its Black Friday deals early, has already offered a deal on the iPhone 5.

As for the Apple Stores themselves, despite reducing prices on iPads, iPods and MacBooks in the UK last year, this year there are no discounts to be had. UK shoppers are not even getting the free iTunes Gift Cards that US consumers are being offered.

Instead, Apple says it is focusing on its World Aids Day (Red) charity appeal: it will donate a portion of the proceeds from any product, gift card or accessory sold on Monday, December 1st to the appeal. Further details are available on the Apple website.

Apple Black Friday deals 2013

Last year Apple offered savings of up to £61 on the iPad Air, with bigger discounts on the premium models, plus a £15 saving on the iPad Mini.

The Black Friday deals in 2013 also saw £25 off the iPod Touch, and offers on the Apple TV, B&W speakers and other Apple accessories.

Will we see offers on the iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus this year?
