Hi,

I'm looking for a compact surround receiver/amp like the now discontinued Cambridge Azur 540R which was only 10 cm. tall and had preouts and direct in.

I can't seem to find any other brand making such capable and small device.

Any advice?

The Pioneer VSX-S500 or VSX-S300 found here at 8.5cm high, or the Marantz NR1609 clicky at 10.5cm high. Whether either of them has all the pre-outs & direct in that you require you would need to look in the specifications.

Regards...

Denon Cara (not sure about connectivity), but it's generally available for £999 now (was £1999 at release).
