Altec Lansing Backbeat 906 review

The neckband might not suit everyone, but we like the good sound and usability of these Altec Lansings Tested at £90.00

Our Verdict

Dynamic and clear - the Backbeat 906s are a real find

Against

  • Neckband might not suit everyone

These Altec Lansing headphones are a real find. The neckband keeps them together, while the clunky looking behind-the-ear design is fairly comfortable.

Also included is an adapter for turning any device into a Bluetooth-compatible machine – without this, the model is the 903 and costs £60.

And they sound rather good. Detailed, dynamic and clear, they deliver open, insightful vocals as well as solid bass and plenty of punch. The neckband might not be for everyone, but the sound quality really should be.
