Boasting impressive musicality and excellent levels of detail and insight, these comfortable, sport-friendly earbuds are well worth even their non-discounted price. The WF-C700N offer 7.5 hours of battery life per charge, multipoint Bluetooth and IPX4 water resistance, plus noise-cancelling. Now succeeded by the WF-C710N. Five stars

The cheapest true wireless earbuds we can heartily recommend, these five-star Earfuns do the basics right. Now that they're back at their lowest ever price, it's a great opportunity to pick up the most affordable, yet decent, budget buds around at a sizeable discount. Five stars

Apple’s previous-gen AirPods Pro 2 ANC earbuds are five-star favourites and a must-have for iOS die-hards. They boast impressive ANC, a hugely enjoyable sound, along with plenty of new features such as adaptive audio and conversation mode. Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds was £300 now £199 at Amazon (save £100)
Now that the 2nd Gen buds are here, the original Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds have dropped in price. We're not completely sold on the Immersive Audio modes, but with excellent ANC and all-around sonic brilliance, these highly competitive buds are worth their asking price, especially with a discount. The Bowers & Wilkins Pi8 won a What Hi-Fi? Award in 2024 and hold fast as our top premium pick amongst the best wireless earbuds. Sensational levels of detail, natural and refined sound and competitive ANC packed into the most enjoyable earbuds from B&W to date. Five stars

Bowers & Wilkins Pi6 was £219 now £149 at Peter Tyson (save £70)
The Bowers & Wilkins Pi6 are an attractive, accomplished pair of wireless earbuds which, when let loose on the right tracks, can take you for a thrilling sonic ride. Their power and attack grant genres such as hip-hop, rock and heavy metal extra helpings of excitement, while their solid detail levels mean that you’ll still be in the picture no matter the tunes you choose. Four stars

This is a huge discount on the Sony LinkBuds Fit. These sporty, comfortable and robust-sounding buds might be a little heavy handed in the lower registers, but exercise fiends will still find a lot to like.

A significant step up from the flock of sub-£100 cheap wireless earbuds, allowing you to access better sound quality without having to make the jump to more premium options from the likes of Bose, Sony and Sennheiser. They’re an entertaining listen, easy to use and manage to pack in a lot of useful features, including noise-cancelling. Five stars

No noise cancellation, but you can still expect a detailed, robust sound, as well as solid comfort levels, on-bud controls and a clean, crisp sonic profile from the Technics EAH-AZ40M2. Excellent value if you don't need ANC and you're working with a tight budget.

Beats Fit Pro was £200 now £99 at Amazon (save £101)
We would recommend the Beats Fit Pro for any sportspeople who want lively-sounding, immensely likeable buds which, thanks to their clever wing-fit construction, nestle into your ears snugly and securely. Running fanatics and gym fiends should find them a very attractive proposition indeed.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 was £260 now £150 at Amazon (save £110)
Watch out, Sony and Bose! The Momentum True Wireless 4 offer a level of sonic refinement and comfort that makes them serious contenders at this level. These noise-cancelling Momentums are great-value alternatives to the Sony XM5 with great sound, fit and features.

The Technics EAH-AZ100 seriously impressed us when we tested them last year. They're some of the most refined and detailed buds we've heard in recent times, even giving the Sony WF-1000XM5 a run for their money at this level. This is a major price drop – if we were you, we'd jump at the chance to grab a discount.

With the superior (albeit £350) Px7 S3 now on the scene, we would expect the five-star Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S2e wireless noise-cancelling headphones to be available at a reduced price on a regular basis. Available for under £200 right now, they back up their extremely stylish design with an insightful, clean and focused sound. Five stars

Dali IO-8 was £599 now £449 (save £150) at Peter Tyson
Combining a great build, premium feel and excellent sound, the Dali IO-8 set the performance benchmark at this lofty price. £150 is a major drop, but stocks are running low at some retailers, so we don't know how long this deal will be around for. Five stars

Any discount on such a new pair of AirPods is welcome. The AirPods 4 with ANC cram in so many flagship features with effective sound-blocking and improved sound at this mid-range price – though the AirPods Pro 2 are better performers. Four stars

AirPods 4 was $129 now $80 at Amazon (save $49)
The new AirPods 4 are already receiving a generous discount at Amazon. They don't have noise cancellation, unlike their 'AirPods 4 with ANC' sibling (above), but they boast the latest AirPods design and supposedly improved sound over the AirPods 3, while the H2 chip brings with it personalised spatial audio and voice isolation for clearer call quality.

The kings of noise-cancelling have done it again with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds. We are not yet completely sold on the Immersive Audio modes, but with class-leading ANC and all-round sonic improvements, these highly competitive buds are worth their asking price, especially with a discount. They've since been replaced by the five-star QC Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen).
