Ixos XHD-608 review

This isn't a poor cable but you can do better elsewhere Tested at £50.00

Our Verdict

This is not a bad cable but it isn't good value for money

For

  • Smart packaging and rigid lead

Against

  • Soundtracks lacks scale and presence

Ixos knows how to present a cable. Greeted with its smart packaging and rigid lead, we could easily imagine parting with £50 for the XHD608.

Sadly, we didn't quite see this attention to detail carried through to the sound quality. Soundtracks lack the scale and presence we've heard elsewhere, while bass detail is also not entirely present and correct.

This isn't a poor cable, but in performance-per-pound terms you can do better elsewhere.
