Darts fans are in for a Merry Dartmas with the return of the PDC World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace. Peter 'Snakebite' Wright and world number one Michael van Gerwen are already though to the next round. Tonight, Dave Chisnell and Scott Waites step up to the oche. Game on – but who will lift the Sid Waddell trophy come 3rd January? Follow our guide to watch a PDC World Darts live stream from anywhere.

PDC live stream

The World Darts Championship runs from 15th Dec – 3rd Jan. In the UK, it's on Sky Sports Darts. Use a £25 Now TV Sports Month Pass to watch every throw. In the US, darts fans can catch all the action live on DAZN. A subscription costs $19.99 a month, but a FREE trial means US darts fans can watch the darts without paying a cent! The other option for anyone outside the UK, Netherlands and Ireland is a PDCTV 'Rest of the World' subscription for just £9.99 for a month. Don't forget that you can use a VPN to access your DAZN account from anywhere in the world.

The 2021 PDC World Darts Championship kicked off on Tuesday 15th December 2020 and the final is set to take place on Sunday 3rd January 2021. Up to 1,000 fans were due to attend each session but the tournament will now be played behind closed doors from 16th - 23rd December due to Tier 4 COVID restrictions.

Scotsman Peter Wright is the reigning king of Alexandra Palace, having claimed his maiden PDC world title on New Year's Day when he outclassed Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in the final. This year, the 50-year-old smashed Steve West 3-1 in round one (dressed as the Grinch, obviously) and won't play again until after Christmas now.

Nine-dart history-maker Paul Lim, as well as Jonny Clayton, Vincent van der Voort, Ryan Searle and Gary Anderson have all reached the third round of the William Hill World Darts Championship.

There have been high profile exits too. Adrian Lewis tumbled out of the tournament following a shock 3-1 loss to Danny Baggish and Rob Cross narrowly lost out to Dirk van Duijvenbode in a stunning match that saw the pair clock up huge averages and eleven 180s.

MVG remains the bookies favourite for this year's title, but Dave 'Chizzy' Chisnall and Scott Waites are both in action this evening and have an outside chance of making it their year.

Even after spending all that money on a subscription you're still not going to be able to watch the 2021 PDC World Darts Championship from another country. The service will know your location based on your IP address, and will automatically block your access.

A VPN (Virtual Private Network) creates a private connection between your device and the internet, such that the servers and services you’re accessing aren’t aware of what you’re doing. All the information passing back and forth is entirely encrypted.

There are many VPN providers out there, with some more reliable and safe than others. As a rule, we’d suggest a paid-for service such as NordVPN.

NordVPN

You can get three months free when you sign up to a year-long plan, bringing VPN access to smart devices including the Amazon Fire TV Stick, laptops, TVs and both Android and iOS mobiles and tablets. Express also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Once you’ve made your choice, all you need to do is sign in to your VPN service through whichever device you’d like to use to watch the darts live from Alexandra Palace. When prompted to select a server, you need to pick one which is based in the country whose content you’d like to access. Then navigate to the relevant video streaming app or website and you’re in.
