Ha ha wish that damn fireplace was not there, but the speaker on the other side of it sounds ok.

The wife says she sees funny movement from the faces when the move sometimes, I cant see it, but no its not as smooth as the Panny plasma I had even though this has higher HZ I think.

But in HD the LG does shine amazingly smooth, all in all, glad I sold the other one and bought this, but would like a 46-50" LED, but cant afford it now, as opted for the New Pioneer and RX

Thanks mate, too bad I have to get rid of the stand as I cant get my RX6 in there, so opting for Hi-fi rack.

Will be sad to see it go, and the wife aint too happy as she chose it.

Re: My System now and soon to be after....

Hi Canada, setup looks sweet! Envious of the real speaker designs compared to eggs!! Although I love my eggs! Would your wife start divorce proceedings if you mounted tv over fire place? I no I have to compromise on things but I usually sulk like a 14yr old and go on about it daily lol. Would imagine it could sound better with a conventional setup, however it prob sounds fab as it is? Smile

We tried looking above the fire for a couple minutes and our necks got sore, and also the wife has a bad back, the fire is higher than it looks, but that was the first thought,

Thanks

Nice one Canada

If it was me I would consider moving everything into the centre of the wall where the window is , only prob would be is if you use the radiator.Make sure the curtains kill the light.

Get a rack with a post to mount the TV on

Front speakers at each side of the window , couch moved so that it is across the width of the room

Rear speaker 90 deg to couch , probably only need to move one of them

Stand by for flack from the missus

But you are probably tied with what you have unfortunately , but if it works for you ignore the above

Les if it was just me I would, but got two toddlers and a wife, the wife said no, and also my kids run around so they would

probably tip over the new RX6 coming, thats why they need to be in a corner and out of the way.

When they get a bit older I might, also we are thinking of building a double extention as well. so who know, I know its not a ideal setup, but it will do for now.

Hi Canada, my tv is 110cm from the floor to th base of tv. From ur system pics you sit as far from tv as I do. What is measurement from floor to hour mantle piece? Also my tv bracket from RS tilts down and pulls from wall 1.8ft in a scissor action. When I next in pointy shall I pop round then it's 2 against 1 lol.
Just my opinion. Wat you have and what your upgrading to is fab. Enjoy and ignore my comments ha ha. Can't wait to see pics of new kit!!

hEY STA99Y,

My tv has the same scissor action and just leave it in one place.

Front the floor to the bottom of the TV its about 100cm, I was sitting down while someone holding it up and had the best placement for me.

Yes the SD is not that great, but again will be getting something like a 46" led when funds allow and my credit card recovers after this upgrade.

Got the old colour walnut in the Blok, as did not like the new brown walnut colour, so they agreed to spary me a old one free of charge.

They will spray any colour you want, just call them up, great bunch of guys

Well finally done, very happy and the sound is amazing, been listning to music and I got to say this amp is something else, also 5.1 movies are out of this world.

Thanks everyone for all your help and advice (NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE), I can fianally sit down and enjoy, as not much is getting better than this, without having to £5000.00+ which I am not going to be doing.

Also special thanks to Dave, he has been a star.
