What speaker cables ?
Hello everybody here at what hifi forum
i have recently aquired a set of Elac BS 253 which stands on a set of dynaudio 3.
I use the Rotel ra-12 integrated AMP. Currently i am using Van den hul the snowline speaker cables.
I want a more warm and precise cable, so what are your suggestions ? 2x3m lenght, budget 400-500$ and has to able to be bought in Europe online
I have had great results with Ringmat speaker cable - very good bass and weight.
Alternatively, something from Chord might work. I have also used Epic Twin with very satisfactory results. Perhaps sharper and more detailed than Ringmat but more expensive.
Good luck!
I've tried a few - the ones I would suggest would be Tellurium Q if you could get them - the blue or the black
Forget it, speaker cables make NO diffrence to the sound. (As has been proved in every single blind test that has been done, and there has been a lot of them)

What you are using is fine. Cables cannot actually add anything new to the sound (think about that for a moment please), and only in some specific cases can they take things away (signal degredation etc.). As your cable will not remove anything (particularly over 3 meters) then save your money for something more worthwhile...
That would be my advice too. If you want to change the sound, change your speakers - after first experimenting with the positioning of your speakers and listening position.

Agree 100%.
I think it is wrong to say that speaker cables do not make any difference to the sound. I think it is right to say that there is very little difference between cable or flex which is designated as speaker cable. Otherwise beginners on here might use any old "bell" wire to hook up their speakers which I think would make a difference. I previously used some medium thickness clear Maplin cable with Mordaunt and Short Pearls. I now have a better set up so use 5 meters of Van Dam Blue 2.5 sq mm on each speaker so that I can move them around to find the best sound. It sounds excellent to me with 66 year old ears! They say oxygen free is a prerequisite and obviously the thicker the cable is the lower the resistance but I am not going down the power station route!

Sorry my signature has not come through. My system comprises Technics SLBD 22 Tuntable, Marantz PM6004 amplifier,MarantzCD6004 CD player, Marantz NA7004 Tuner & streamer and Q Acoustics 2500i floorstanders (which are just getting to be run in).

Disagree 100%
I have tried 2 blind tests and could hear differences. Not all speaker wire sound the same on all equipment
Try yourself and be the judge

I dont need nay sayers, i have heard my setup with nordost the frey and the sound was indsanely good and my speakers are very good. So only advices towards good cables please.
I would suggest Tellurium Q black
I have tried Siltech, Atlas, Cardas, Kimber, Tellurium Q, Vertere and Purist Audio, in the end each one had a different sonic signature and it is really system dependant. My pick was Purist Audio in the end but I think Tellurium Q Blue or Black might be an easy choice for that budget
