The Expert Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) has announced the winners of the EISA Awards 2026-2027, marking the 44th edition of the world's longest-running and most respected awards programme for consumer electronics. Across five categories, Hi-Fi, Home Theatre & Vision, Photography, Mobile Devices and In-Car Electronics, this year's winners represent the products that EISA's expert groups judged to be the outstanding performers of the year.
The winners were selected through EISA's rigorous, long-established judging process. Over several months, editors from more than 50 specialist technology magazines and websites in 27 countries tested hundreds of new products from every major manufacturer, comparing notes and, in the case of most categories, meeting in person to debate and vote on the strongest candidates in each category before reaching a final consensus.
This year's list of winners spans everything from loudspeakers and mirrorless cameras to flagship smartphones, home theatre systems and in-car infotainment, reflecting both the breadth of EISA's expertise and the pace of innovation across the consumer electronics industry over the past 12 months.
“The EISA Award is the award with the greatest tradition in the world,” said EISA president Ljubiša Miodragović. “It is given by a group of the most respected technology editors on the planet, people who spend months carefully judging and reviewing every device before a single winner is chosen. That is what sets these awards apart, and it is what makes today's announcement so meaningful for the winning companies and for our readers alike.”
This year, Australian Hi-Fi participated in judging the hi-fi categories, and Sound+Image helped judge home theatre and vision devices. In both cases, the process involves nominations, short-lists, online presentations, listening sessions and extensive lab testing, before conducting a lengthy final voting session between all the relevant EISA expert group editors.
