The SubCast system enables you to make any subwoofer wireless, with no complex set-up procedure required.
Simply connect the 'sub out' terminal from a home cinema amplifier into the small SubCast transmitter and power it up, then plug the SubCast receiver module into the subwoofer inputs and power that up.
The subwoofer can then be placed anywhere in the room without the need to use conventional cables.
Soundcast has refined its patented FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum) technology which enables the system to find an open channel and broadcast clear audio signals in the 2.4Ghz band, regardless of any other devices operating there.
"This means the signals are completely interference-free and there is none of the buzzing, distortion or dropouts which have previously plagued wireless solutions," claims Soundcast.
The SubCast receiver and transmitter each measure 15.5 x 4 x 2.5cm, and the system has a transmission range of up to 45 metres indoors. SubCast costs £150, including all the cables, connectors and adaptors required, and is distributed in the UK by Armour Home.
