A downloadable piece of software, the X-OOM Media Centre transforms your Wii in to a wireless receiver. Simply install the software on your PC and let it sniff out your Wii. Once this is done you can add files to the Media Centre. These can then be browsed on the Wii's Internet Channel.
Videos, photos and music can then be streamed to the TV where your Wii is connected and viewed there as opposed to on the PC where the data is stored. The X-OOM Media Centre for Wii XE also makes it possible to browse the Internet, access digital radio and TV channels, plus podcasts, YouTube and Google Video.
X-OOM says the software is "optimised for widescreen and HD programmes", and files supported include MP3, WMA, DivX, MPEG2, MPEG4 and WMV.
