Michael Jackson fans will be able to watch his memorial service in high-definition on BBC HD, Sky Arts 1 and online at Skynews.com

Michael Jackson's memorial service is to be broadcast in high-definition on BBC HD and Sky TV this afternoon. As well as the Beeb, it will be shown on the Sky Arts 1 HD channel and also online in HD at Skynews.com.

The programme will also go out on Sky News and Sky Arts 1 in standard definition. The Sky broadcasts will run from 17.30 to 20.00 BST, and the BBC coverage starts at 18.00.

Sky's Michael Jackson: The Farewell will be presented by Sky News anchor Kay Burley, along with Sky News US correspondents Robert Nisbet and Greg Milam.

The programme will show the build-up to the King of Pop's memorial service, and will be presented from five different locations around the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.
