iriver Mplayer review

This iRiver MPlayer, with its Micky Mouse head, may look fun but the sound is poor Tested at £30.00

Our Verdict

Endearing Mickey Mouse's head design, but the sound is poor

For

  • Endearing design

Against

  • Sounds bright and edgy

If you think the Mplayer looks like Mickey Mouse's head, you'd be spot on.

This cutesy, 1GB MP3 player is an iRiver and Disney collaboration. It's easy to poke fun at its appearance, but the design is strangely endearing.

Twist the right ear to skip track and the left to alter volume. Our main concern lies with sound quality – or terminal lack of it.

The Mplayer sounds bright and edgy. One for the kids – but only if they've been especially bad.
