Best Black Friday speaker deals: great savings on wireless and hi-fi speakers

This excellent, spatial audio-toting Sonos wireless speaker has a worthy discount. We love its huge, expressive sound and extensive streaming features, including spatial audio support from Apple Music and Amazon Music – and it sounds more convincing than we've heard elsewhere. Despite its odd design, the Era 300 is a truly wonderful speaker.

The JBL Flip 7 is a well made, travel-friendly and great sounding speaker wrapped up into an incredibly-priced 'burrito' shaped design. We thought it might drop by £20 or £30 on the day of Black Friday, so this massive discount is nothing short of miraculous.

The JBL Charge 6 brings clear, detailed and hugely confident sound to this burrito-shaped speaker. It wows on quality as well as sound and has even more waterproof, dust-proof and drop-proof capabilities than its predecessor, the five-star Charge 5. There's lots to love about it, especially when there's a major discount to be had.

The JBL Xtreme 4 is on the heavier side of what you might still consider "portable", but there's no doubt that it harnesses its substantial weight and power to impress effect. Offering an agile, refined sound in a rugged package, it's a five-star speaker inside and out.

Amazon's fifth-gen Echo Dot is a five-star performer with a surprising amount of wallop. It may be small, but the dinky Dot sounds authoritative and musical, and has one of the best AI assistants in the shape of Alexa. This discount is massive, so unless you hate Amazon, it's a no-brainer.

We usually see a tenner off the HomePod Mini but this titchy £5 off deal is worth flagging as this tiny but talented Apple speaker is great value, especially if you're an Apple Music subscriber. Clear, detailed and rhythmically agile sound combines with a dinky design and Siri powers to deliver a cute, compact iOS-friendly wireless speaker.

The Sonos Era 100 has been around for a little while now, but it's still one of our favourite wireless speakers in town. Bluetooth and line-in playback options, stereo sound that's more powerful, punchy and open. Mega deals aren't always forthcoming for Sonos speakers, so any drop in price like this on the Era 100 should be snapped up sharpish.

Make a great saving on the B&W Zeppelin Wireless speaker. With unique looks, excellent streaming smarts and expansive and weighty sound that will fill your room easily, it's still a wonderful choice after all this time.

Even after all these years, we're still singing the Naim Mu-so 2's praises. A gorgeous wireless speaker system with bags of personality inside and out, it's an uncompromised joy. It's packed with streaming features and cutting-edge driver tech, and remains a joy to use. Thanks to its age, prices are dropping significantly, making one of Naim's most appealing all-in-one systems increasingly great value. Given that there's a new Mu-so on the way (with Focal's name on it), the older Mu-so 2 could be on its way out.

The Elac B6.2s are mature, transparent performers that confidently outline just what the rest of your system is doing, diligently presenting music without comment, just as it has been told. It's hi-fi mentality at a price that only just nudges into the midrange.

A musically entertaining powered speaker system that's compact, fuss-free and packs plenty of connectivity to plug in a laptop, TV, turntable or mobile device. The ELAC Debut ConneX DCB41 were good value before, but this discount is a tremendous deal.

One of our favourite pairs of standmount speakers, these B&W marvels set a high bar for clarity, refinement and detail, but they also have plenty in the way of punch and dynamism to thrill and entertain. In our five-star B&W 607 S3 review, we called them "entertaining in spades" and "a delight". Believe.

The Elac Debut 3.0 DB53 combine sturdy construction with detailed sound and ample bass. Some care is needed with amplifier matching to maximise performance, but if you’ve got the hardware to suit them, these third-generation speakers will make a worthwhile addition to your hi-fi setup.

Our very favourite budget speakers now come with a significant and welcome £50 discount. The ELAC Debut 2.0 B5.2 are simply the best performers at this price, ideal for anyone's first hi-fi system.

Delivering class-leading sound for less than a grand, the KEF LS50 Meta are sensational five-star speakers and brilliant all-rounders. If you can afford them, buy them, because they're sure to not let you down.

Solidly built and smartly finished, the KEF Q Concerto Meta offer a nicely balanced sonic presentation with impressive bass weight and power. All three finish options are available at the reduced price, which is the cheapest we’ve seen these excellent speakers selling for.

The larger counterparts to the equally excellent Borea BR03 standmounts, the Triangle Borea BR08 share some supreme sonic DNA. Refined and detailed yet bold and musical, the Award-winning BR08 will delight you from top to bottom.

Ignore the fact that these floorstanders have been around for a good while – lots of the best products have. £350 off is a massive saving, and while we test the Q Acoustics 3050i at £649, they've often been listed at a more substantial price of £749. That makes this discount all the juicier, especially when you consider how musical, engaging and downright fun they sound.

The Sonos Era 100 is the smallest smart speaker in Sonos' library, but no less mighty. It's a fantastic performer considering its cost, is packed with extensive streaming features and is an ideal smart speaker for most homes.

The Sonos Era 300 has exceptional spatial audio capabilities thanks to its cinched hourglass design, creating one of the most immersive and cinematic soundstages you'll heard from a speaker of this type. A brilliant speaker that's been around for a little while, this saving only makes it more appealing.

If you want a no-hassle, compact and talented all-in-one active wireless speaker system, then you'll struggle to do better than the KEF LSX II, especially at this knockdown price. The speakers offer reliable wireless audio and connectivity, with engaging, detailed, clear and agile sound quality that will delight any music fan.

If you're after a set of floorstanders, then at this price the Dali Oberon 5 are the ones to get. During our review they offered fantastic performance at a competitive price, delighting our testers with their expressive dynamics and unfussy nature.

It's always a good day when a pair of B&W speakers drop by any amount. We've seen the Bowers & Wilkins 603 S3 floorstanders fall during the Black Friday period, and while this isn't the biggest drop ever, around $270 off isn't to be sniffed at. Not bad at all, and it might go lower.
