Ecosse The Producer review

Fine interconnect for those on a budget, with accurate reproduction and capable detailing. Tested at £15

What Hi-Fi? Verdict

A fine budget wire, but spend more and you will get a bigger, more detailed sound.

  • +

Capable performance, good looks and build, good for the money

  • -

Maybe lacking a little detail and dynamics

This Ecosse cable is an old favourite of ours, having picked-up an Award back in 2000.

First impressions are certainly good, with the feel and build doing its best to belie the price tag. And it's more of the same when we listen to the cable in action. The suspense-laden opening sequence to I Am Legend is conveyed accurately, with a reasonable level of punch and dynamism.

A fine budget wire, but spend a bit more and you will hear a bigger, more detailed sound.
