New Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag takes charge for his first Premier League match on Sunday as the Red Devils kick-off the new season at home to Brighton.

With things turning toxic during the latter stages of his predecessor Ralph Rangnick's reign at Old Trafford, Ten Hag knows he has a huge job on his hands to right the ship, and will be desperate to get the rebuilding process underway with a win here.

Make sure you know how to watch a Manchester United vs Brighton live stream wherever you are.

Disappointing pre-season performances against Atletico Madrid and Rayo Vallecano show the task in hand for the former Ajax manager, with preparations not helped by the soap opera surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo's future at the club and the near farcical pursuit of Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong.

The £52m capture of Ajax defender Lisandro Martínez plus Dutch star Tyrell Malacia, and coveted free agent Christian Eriksen shows the club still nevertheless has pulling power and could improve upon last season's sixth-placed finish.

The new-look United face a Brighton side that looked odds on for European qualification last term before a disastrous mid-season dip that cost them dearly.

The Seagulls' form picked up towards the end of the campaign however, peaking with a memorable 4-0 thrashing at the Amex Stadium of their opponents today.

Boss Graham Potter will be keen to replicate that performance for this season opener, but his side will have to make do without the influential Yves Bissouma who joined Spurs last month.

The match kicks off at 2pm BST on Sunday 7th August, 2022. Follow our guide on how to watch a Man United vs Brighton live stream from wherever you are in the world.
