Audio Suspension ASU-100

Audio Suspension is a new name to look out for when it comes to equipment racks and mounts, with the ASU-100 the company's debut product.

Made in the UK and based in Brighton, the Audio Suspension ASU-100 uses "high-grade 20mm low-resonance acrylic" and has adjustable wire supports that connect to your wall.

Set to be the first product of a range, the ASU-100 aims to limit unwanted resonance without adding its own noise and colour to your system's sound.

The ASU-100 is secured to your wall using two polished-chrome supports, each damped with silicone-rubber at the connection point. Two 1.5mm steel-wire cables then holds the shelf, allowing to level and adjust the angle.

Suitable for equipment up to 470mm x 420mm, and capable of supporting up to 25kg (dependant on fixings), the ASU-100 is available now directly from the Audio Suspension website for £250.

Audio Suspension also offers a bespoke design service for different sizes and colours and for larger, heavier products.

This is absolutely not going to be any good for a turntable - it will be completely wobbly and free to move upwards - the wires just stop it falling! It will cause all sorts of problems!

Looks really nice, clean lines but what will they look like when there's a bunch of spaghetti hanging down the back? You could channel the walls but that's not easy to do. Maybe you are bringing out something to cater for this or maybe you could bring something out?

Hi Relocated, just to let you know you can actually see the cut out on the image, its at the back on the left hand side but admittedly not very clear on the photo (it's 2" diameter). Kind regards.

I think it looks elegant. Not a fan of acrylic myself, but i know its popular with vinyl users. Its by far the best looking wall mounted solution I've seen.

So the pictures shown in this piece do not accurately represent the product.

What an excellent start.

To be fair it would cost you £100 just to buy the acrylic so I don't think it's an unfair price if you sore the quality of the engineering and design in the rest of the product for yourself. Also we manufacture in the UK, it would be a lot cheaper if we had the item made in China but we believe it is important to support the UK economy. Kind regards, Adam Billingham, Audio Suspension.

We have put a cut out on the back for wires! Kind regards, Adam Billingham, Audio Suspension

Great up until the point you try to attach some cables, where do they go, round the sides?????

£250, seriously?  It's not April already is it???
