NEWS: The perfect excuse for a weekend city-break?

If next month's Sound and Vision show in Bristol isn't enough to satisfy your hi-fi and home cinema cravings, why not plan yourself a little weekend trip to Prague a month later?

Should be an easy pitch to your nearest and dearest: good food, great (and inexpensive) beer, the scenic old town, excellent shopping – 'oh, and did I mention the Prague High End show?'

Held at the Corinthia Towers Hotel, about 1.5km – or three metro stops – from the city centre, the show is open on Saturday and Sunday March 29-30. Exhibition space is already fully booked, with big names such as Denon, Marantz, Pioneer and Sony all set to be there.

British brands expected at the show include B&W, Cambridge Audio, Creek/Epos, Meridian, Mordaunt-Short, Naim, Tannoy and Wilson Benesch, and admission is only CZK 100, or less than £3.

Flights to Prague start from about £25 each way – and did we mention the cheap beer?
