IFA NEWS: Sharp reveals new audio systems

Sharp DK AP8P

The iPod dock system, catchily titled DK-AP8P, is a small rectangular dock which breaks with convention and has a slim slab of a remote control which is the width of the dock itself. It's compatible with iPhone and has a 3.5mm line-in for other MP3 players.

It certainly looks different to most dock solutions and we're sure it will become a love or hate object. Let us know your thoughts below…

In terms of micro systems, the entry level XL-DH350NH has a top loading iPod dock and a claimed output of 160 watts. More importantly, there's a front USB input and one of the biggest volume knobs we've ever seen.

The bigger brother of the XL DNH350NH is the XL-DK257H which offers a claimed 2 x 80 watt output alongside a retractable iPod dock on the bottom of the system.

ID3 tagging for on screen album and artist info is included and it's compatible with the iPod classic, Touch and the 3rd gen Nano.

Prices and release dates are unavailable but we'll update you as soon as Sharp announce the details.
