Pure unveils three new music systems including compact Evoke Spot, versatile Play and Home hi-fi alternative with CD drive

Rethinking radio: three products, three different life scenarios

Twenty years after launching its first product, the Pure Evoke-1, Pure is rethinking the way people enjoy audio content. The world-renowned dedicated radio manufacturer has just lifted the lid on a completely reworked and upgraded Evoke range, comprising three music systems. In re-designing and upgrading its most successful Evoke range, Pure’s new comprehensive music system solution includes the compact Spot (for those that need an easy-access solution), the versatile Play (with powerful stereo sound and optional battery for portable use) and the comprehensive, high-quality stereo Home, including CD Drive.

Marrying a unique combination of smart radio, streaming device and minimalist aesthetics (with the help of Industrial Facility / Sam Hecht) each product sports a unique 90% eco-certified recycled wool cover, made by Danish textile company Kvadrat. All systems come in two colours, coffee black and cotton white.

And, if you buy in December, January or February, Pure will celebrate its 20-year anniversary by giving you the chance to win a trip to Scotland, including whisky tasting, Inverness Lodge accommodation and Michelin Star restaurant visit.

Far from a case of ‘good, better and best’, Pure has focused on creating three products for three different scenarios. They’re easy to use, deliver inspiring sound and boast a modern design befitting of any living space. Think everyday controls that are visible at first glance, a fold-down display for a more modern look, special features hidden under the display and an LED ring for easier handling without the screen.

The original ‘wireless’ has accompanied us throughout our working day (and often long into the evening) for more than 100 years and many of them have evolved very little. Some smart speakers, on the other hand, can only be steered by tech-savvy individuals with the voice control tech of software behemoths. Pure has gone back to the drawing board and rethought entertainment, information and music – everything that makes up radio – and cast it in three beautiful forms.

Since streaming services have become as much a part of our lives as digital radio stations and CD collections, facilitating a versatile listening solution means a product that is easy to use for everyone, delivers inspiring sound and has a modern design for every living space. Let’s expand on each new Pure proposition.

Pure Evoke Spot

Spot – the compact one: perfectly placed sound for the home

The Evoke Spot is a compact and easy-to-place companion for the home. The music system offers a variety of audio content such as international radio programmes, podcasts and playlists all delivered with advanced acoustics. Boasting 20W of power and a compact format, the Evoke Spot fits seamlessly into a traditional bookshelf and delivers a compelling listening experience via Spotify Connect, Bluetooth, Internet radio, DAB+ and FM.

Play – the versatile one: a player for every occasion

The Evoke Play is a playful and easily portable companion for any occasion, indoors or out. The versatile music system offers a speaker power of 40W in stereo sound with fine-tuned acoustics, plus a light design that can easily be moved from the living room to the terrace, or from bedroom to kitchen. With Spotify Connect, Bluetooth, Internet radio, DAB+ and FM, this versatile music system delivers the right music for every occasion.

Pure Evoke Home

Home – the all-rounder: subtle design that delivers the whole package

The Evoke Home is big enough to act as a neat alternative to the traditional hi-fi system and offers more versatility than a smart speaker. The all-in-one music system adds CDs to the mix of podcasts, playlists and radio programmes from around the world, all delivered with state-of-the-art sound. With a speaker output of 100W and Spotify Connect, Bluetooth, Internet radio, DAB+ and FM onboard, this system delivers powerful stereo sound with high clarity and deep bass and will become a stunning addition to your home.

Oh, and why the wool covers? Wool is a renewable raw material that cleans itself, and sheep's wool remains almost odourless in any environment. Wool is also biodegradable and it’s able to absorb and neutralise pollutants, such as formaldehyde, from the environment – comforting to know.
