You may be looking forward to your summer hols as you read this, but our minds have already turned to the What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision Show, taking place at the Novotel London-Hammersmith from November 2-4.
It's the UK's premier gadget and hi-fi event, and we've got a sneak preview of what you'll be able to see there.
A host of big names have already signed up for the show, including Arcam, Cyrus, Denon, Marantz, Monitor Audio, Naim, NAD, Pioneer, Quad, Sony and many, many more. And don't forget our sister magazine Stuff will be there, too.
We're anticipating plenty of exclusive product launches at the event, and Denon has just confirmed it will unveil its 2008 flagship AVP-A1HD preamp/processor and matching POA-A1HD 10-channel power amp at the show.
This two-box behemoth is apparently twice as heavy as its predecessor (and that's saying something!), and is packed to the gills with state-of-the-art technology.
There's far too much to list everything here, but suffice to say that the power amp delivers 300W across ten channels, and the £10,000 combo can decode Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD via HDMI 1.3a, has full networking capability with built-in wi-fi and Ethernet, is iPod ready and can stream music from PCs and Macs. Oh, and it has internet radio offering up to 7000 stations.
