Marantz vs Pro-Ject CD Player
Just wondered if anyone can offer me some advice on which between the Marantz DC6004 and the Pro-Ject CD Box S to buy? Basically it's a budget buy to plug into the back of my Linn Majik DSM on odd occasions simply to spin some of the CD's I wantto keep but have no other means of playing.
So very much a budget buy for occasional use but want it to sound decent and have heard/read good things about both. Any views on which is the better piece of kit?
I have looked at second hand but need something in silver as the rest of my stuff is silver. The only other thing I can find is the Marantz CD5004 which is about 80 quid cheaper and may be an option - not sure how superior the 6004 is?

If you're connecting to Linn Majik, it shouldn't matter much to be honest. Besides, you should really demo them yourself & see what you prefer.
