Welcome to the resurrected guide to the week's HD content, which includes Blu-rays, games and a whole host of TV shows. If there's something you love that we've missed off, let us know below!

Monday 26th AprilThe Pacific – Sky Movies Premiere HD – 10pmEugene Sledge, the third main character in this epic Sky/HBO mini-series, sees his first combat in this fifth episode.James Cameron’s Avatar – Blu-rayDue to a complete ban on advance review copies, we’ve not actually seen the Blu-ray of Avatar yet, but we’re expecting it to look spectacular, and will be queuing up to buy our copy later this evening. If you’re a bit more patient than that, you can order the Blu-ray & DVD combi pack from Play or Amazon for £14.99.Tuesday 27th AprilIt’ll come as little surprise to learn that I’m a bit of a sci-fi fan, so Tuesday has recently become my favourite TV night of the week, with Stargate Universe (Sky1 HD, 8pm), V (SyFy HD, 10pm) and Fringe (Sky1 HD, 10pm) all showing new episodes. Stargate and V will probably end up on the Sky+ box for viewing later, but Fringe demands to be watched live – after The Pacific, I reckon it’s the best thing on TV right now.Wednesday 28th AprilUEFA Champions League – Inter Milan v Barcelona – ITV1 HD – 7.30pmIt’s usually difficult to maintain interest in international football once the Premier League teams drop-out, but Inter Milan’s 3-1 lead from the first-leg should make this second game an absolute cracker.Thursday 29th AprilModern Family – Sky1 HD – 8pmThis excellent family comedy returns with a double episode. The first, Fears, shows Phil at his awkward best.Friday 30th AprilLost is having a week off and there are no game releases of note, so you can just twiddle your thumbs this Friday night until Later... with Jools Holland (BBC HD, 11.45pm), which this week features Gorillaz and the lovely Laura Marling, amongst others.Saturday 1st MayDoctor Who – BBC HD – 6.25pmI must confess, I’m not much of a Doctor Who fan, but the new Doctor seems good, and this episode sees him ‘escaping Weeping Angels through the forest vault’, which sounds so bonkers that I think I’ll have to give it a go.Sunday 2nd MayLive Snooker World Championship – Eurosport HD – 8pmI’ve just discovered that not everyone in the office agrees with me that snooker in HD is awesome. It is, though, and if you haven’t yet tried it, the final of the World Championship is the perfect time to do so.
