Hi, as soon as my Rega DAC turns up I will be moving my caiman to the computer room for in ear listening there.

Eventually I will need a replacement headphone amp.  My options so far are

1: Naims own Headline 2 advantage fits with my gear disadvantage, by the time I have bought a power supply this turns very expensive.

2: Rega Ear

3: some lovely suggestions up to around £250

Any opinions / thoughts?

So none of those numerous Naim boxes of your's can feed power to a Naim headphone amp? (Don't they do a 'wall wart' for it?)

Apparently not grrrrr.  Going off Naim very quickly (not due to sound quality mind you)

Re: Naim Headline 2??

Replace the Saturn and the NAC202 with a NaimUniti and cancel the Rega DAC Smile

The NaimUniti has a front mounted headphone socket, a built in DAC, a CD player, and it has a powered connection for your Stageline phono amplifier. (They throw in a decent FM/DAB/Internet tuner too!)

Connect it to your power amp with it's pre-amp output.

There. I have saved you a fortune and a whole bunch of power cables.

See if Nick and the boys still have my old Rega EAR knocking around on their used equipment shelves.

I sold it to a friend a while back and then he eventually gave it to them to sell on commission for him.
