Denon 2113 sound to tv problem
Denon 2113 is connected to a tv via hdmi sky xbox and blu ray is connected into the input and sound is coming out speakers but amp is not sending sound to the tv is there anything my friend has missed on set up. As he wants at times to just listen to the sound through the tv
I have got it wrong he has bought the amp but the room its going in is a room with no speakers he is just using it as a swither box for wii u xbox sky hd multi room blu ray ps3. But later in the year will be buying some kef eggs.
I have never come across this situation of an amp with no speakers! As I said, check TV sound settings.

I have a similar problem with my Denon 2113. Have it connected via HDMI2(ARC) to my Samsung smart tv UE46ES8000 but alas no sound. Have my tv speaker setting to external but no effect. Sound SPDIF output to PCM. Bluray connection is fine. Is there a setting on the amp or the tv i am missing?

Why would he want to do that? I use my sound system for all TV viewing. Which TV is it? You can probably change the settings on the TV to enable that.
