NEWS: OmniMount racks 'em up

OmniMount has another rack to add to its roster, the smartly styled Moda Linear. Using real wood, chrome-finished steel and glass, it's certainly not a piece of AV furniture you need to hide in the corner when the neighbours come round.

But OmniMount assures us – and with the American company's reputation we have no reason to doubt it – that this rack majors on function as well as form...

The Moda Linear has been engineered and certified to hold up to 113kg of AV equipment, and can cope comfortably with a 60in plasma screen – whether your eyes can, and indeed your front room, is another matter.

In fact, tests on the Moda Linear – we're imagining a game of Buckaroo, but with much heavier pieces – showed the unit was capable of holding twice that amount.

We look forward to getting it in for review, but for the moment savour the stylish appearance of the AV rack in the image above. For more on OmniMount, head over to the company's website here.
