Klipsch's RoomGroove delivers wireless multiroom audio from your iPod

Klipsch RoomGroove

Each RoomGroove acts as a transmitter or receiver, so you can build a multiroom system with no wiring required apart from a mains cable. The system uses 2.4GHz wireless technology to send music to other RoomGroove units or receive music from a transmitting unit.

The Klipsch RoomGroove has a touch-sensitive, motorised, retractable dock that charges all iPods with 30-pin connectors and includes Apple universal adapters to accommodate multiple different versions of Apple's player.

Other MP3 players can easily be connected using the rear auxiliary input.

"With intelligent wireless technology and dynamic sound performance, our RoomGroove fills the gap in the market for a high-quality multiroom music system that's designed to be easy to install and operate," says Tony Ostrom, Klipsch's director of product planning.

Stereo sound is delivered from 25mm horn-loaded tweeters and 50mm woofers.

A single RoomGroove costs £199 and additional units can be added to create a wi-fi multiroom system. It's available online from Amazon and play.com.
