CES 2009: Full-featured LG Blu-ray systems offer one-box high-def home cinema

All systems feature full iPod compatibility - offering both charging plus control via the system remote and HDMI in and HDMI out for simple connectivity.

Daniel Aziz, marketing manager for digital media at LG Electronics, says, “LG wants to bring the fun and thrill of watching great movies at the cinema into the home.

"Thanks to the LG Blu-ray home cinematic experience consumers can now watch films, or TV, in the highest-quality possible, without spending a penny at the box-office.”

LHB979 as LHB977 but 1000W total output and champagne-glass style main speakers.

Pricing has yet to be set, but expect LG's normal affordable approach - the company claims the systems will perform as well as rivals costing 'three times as much'.
