"DAB-enabled internet radios will be big in 2009," predicts John Lewis

Pure Evoke Flow

Yat Wong Jones, central buyer for audio at John Lewis, says: "DAB-enabled internet radios are set to be big in 2009. They offer diverse music and news stations, and are perfect for ex-pats living abroad, who want to listen to their favourite radio stations from home."

Models such as the Pure Evoke Flow (£149) combine DAB digital radio with wi-fi technology, allowing users to access thousands of internet radio stations from around the world, without the need for a PC. You can read our exclusive review of the Evoke Flow here.

According to the Digital Radio Development Bureau (DRDB), 27 per cent of UK adults now have a DAB radio at home and DAB listening is up 34 per cent year on year.
