USA Grand Prix: preview

Whisper it, but with Charles Leclerc on pole, Lando Norris starting from second, Lewis Hamilton in third and Max Verstappen way back in the sixth slot on the grid, today's USA Grand Prix has the potential to be the race of the season.

It's lights out for the USA Grand Prix today, Sunday 22nd October at 8pm BST.

Over the past couple of days, Ferrari, Mercedes and McLaren have shown that they've got pace to burn, though in characteristic fashion that hasn't stopped Hamilton from pleading sloth and insinuating that any non-Red Bull victory would be nothing short of miraculous.

It's been a while, but the return of the mind games suggests that the seven-time world champion has that twinkle back in his eye, and both he and Leclerc will be hoping for a favour from their teammates Carlos Sainz and George Russell, who are directly in front of Verstappen on the grid.

After being forced to sit five races out with a fractured hand, Daniel Ricciardo has returned to action in Austin, one of the the AlphaTauri man's favourite race venues due in no small part to the Texas-sized pageantry – those irresistible cowboy hats and fringed jackets in particular.

So you can expect a little awkward razzmatazz before the lights go out at the Circuit of the Americas today. Keep scrolling to find out where to watch a free F1 live stream anywhere in the world for the 2023 USA Grand Prix.
