Very nice Paul

Not regularly, I'm more in to the industrial side than the Metal. I do have a couple of Rammstein CD's, the heaviest I go is Spineshank or Pitchshifter. It copes quite nicely, if you have a modest sized room don't go to huge with the sub, as the smaller diameter drivers tend to be faster than larger. With things like metal you don't necessarily need a huge boomy thing. I'm no expert tho!
I listen to a lot of 65DaysOfStatic, which is kinda industrial / math-rock. I mean a lot, it probably takes up 10-20% of my listening time. My system sounds ace with 65

Its a Alphason APP1000-BR-BLK. It retails at £209 but I picked it up on the Alphason eBay store for £99. It was discontinued when I bought it one and a half years ago, so you may struggle to find one.
Thanks Paul I'll keep that in mind for later in the year
Cheers Paul, looks like I'll be lucky to find one like yours, especially at that price, ho hum, never mind :boohoo:
Super excited about my latest addition coming in the next few days!
I'll give you a clue, it was released in 1996 and its coming with golden eye... cant wait!
Went to a retro games night at a pub, forgot how much I love golden eye. I'm usually not a competitive person, but my god, KILL ALL THE THINGS!!!
Well I've gone even more retro than you in the last month or so, dug out an old NES from the cellar. Have to get a dining room chair in to play as the cables on the controllers don't stretch very far
8 bit graphics are amazing....
Went and checked out the John Lewis clearance today, and they had a Samsung 51E6500 for £556. Had a demo and was impressed, so took a punt on it. Can't believe how good it is for the money! Will post pics in a few days, but have some films to watch in the mean time
Here are some pics of my latest setup! Have the 51E6500 installed on the stand, also have my bargain £75 project expression tucked away inside the cabinet on a marble slate. Not ideal positioning, but I don't use it that much
Pics are not up to my usual standard, its late and I can't seem to find the time during day light to do them. You get the gist though!

Every one is an UNKLE fan, they just don't know it yet!
Aw thanks Paul, good lad.... hey do you recon I should take out the five year cover as well ?
I read about this tv after you mentioned it and it DOES get a right few great write-ups..... one page on the 60" of this model says that in a little britter light the 60" is anyway, showing better blacks than the ST AND GT50'S
"The panel is coated with Samsung’s “Real Black Pro” anti-reflective coating, which is very effective at preserving contrast performance even in bright environments. The anti-reflective filter slightly betters Panasonic’s “Infinite Black Pro”, which is found on the ST50 and GT50 plasma TVs from the Japanese manufacturer: Samsung’s “Real Black Pro” holds onto blacks better, and the screen actually remains black in the presence of ambient light, rather than the slight greeny-blue tinge that appears on the Panasonic. We’d have to see one side by side, but we imagine Panasonic’s flagship VT50, with its “Infinite Black Ultra” filter, will be a match for the E6500."

To be fair though Paul from all you can read... there isn't a lot of great 3D out there at the moment anyway.
I'm going to buy it. I said to Angela (my wife) that for what we will be watching it for it will be a great tv... and she was all for it ... yay ... bliss !
I want it to give me real nice picture value with SD and mostly Blu Ray watching wich for all intents and purposes it will
Thanks again Paul for the information man... real nice of you.
(think I may have replied in wrong section... srry men)
