Wireworld The Equinox review

This chunky-plugged interconnect is not quite as accomplished as it looks Tested at £200.00

Our Verdict

The chunky-plugged Equinox is not as accomplished as it looks

  • Sturdy plugs

  • Weak sound
  • lack of bass

Full marks to The Equinox for its solid, chunky plugs. They give a super-snug fit without the more complicated mechanism of the Crystal Cu's WBT plugs.

The Equinox offers resolution befitting the price, but is let down by the lean, weak sound that it promotes. Bass notes need to be meatier and more substantial. The lack of bass means music sounds top heavy, with the treble dominating. It sounds like higher frequencies are leering over you.
