Sparta Elan review

Better than the freebie HDMI cable you may have got with your kit, but you can buy better Tested at £30.00

Our Verdict

Not the best, but notably better than a freebie cable and beats most of the cheap HDMI cables around

For

  • Permits more stability to fast motion
  • more energy to deep bass

Against

  • Brighter and edgier than we'd like

This once four-star cable is notably better than the freebie and most other cheap cables

It makes some of the similarly priced HDMI cables seem spectacularly poor value.

But while it permits more stability to fast motion and introduces more energy to deep bass, it's no better in either aspect than the ThatCable HDMI; in fact, that model is better at relaying treble, where the Elan can introduce a brighter, edgier feel than we'd like.

So, three stars it is.
