Electrocompaniet ECR1
New model delivers radio both off-air and streamed, can also function as an offboard DAC

Norwegian high end company Electrocompaniet, which recently announced a deal which will see its products available through Audio T shops in the UK, is using the High End Show to launch a combined DAB, FM and internet radio tuner.

The ECR1 has 192kHz/24-bit digital to analogue conversion with a sample rate converter to handle digital broadcasts, and additionally offers three digital inputs. Those allow other source components to be connected through it.

DAB and internet radio will be available via optional plug-in modules, as will a USB interface for digital input.

The tuner has a symmetrical, fully-balanced analogue section, with both balanced and single-ended outputs.

Pricing for the ECR1 is yet to be announced.
