We’ve given these talented in-ears an Award every year since 2018 — they’re just that good. Yes, plenty of new pairs have arrived on the scene since, but none come close to the sheer quality you’re getting here with the E11C, especially at this low price. Five stars
A multi award-winning pair of in-ears, the Sony WF-C510 delivers where it counts: sound quality. They serve up a rich, full-bodied sound, packed with detail and clarity. We do wish they felt a little more premium where build is concerned, but otherwise these are unrivalled for the money. Five stars
The Sony WF-C710N won an Award in 2025, and they really do have it all – impactful but controlled bass, a great sense of musicality, detail and dynamics in spades, topped off with excellent noise cancellation. Five stars
The 2025 Award-winning Technics ‘buds move up a fair amount in pricepoint, but they reward you with a “wonderfully clear and open sound, with a superb amount of detail”, according to our review. Five stars
These Sony over-ears have walked away with an Award every year since 2023. As we said at our most recent ceremony, “There still isn't a pair of cheap, over-ear wireless headphones that can beat the Sony WH-CH720N.” Now they’ve received a 31% discount making them even more affordable, that statement has never been truer. The best price is on the pink pair, while all others come in under AU$180. Five stars
If your budget can’t stretch to the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds, this more modestly priced pair of Bose in-ears won’t disappoint. A 2025 Award winner, we said they “display many talents, from their powerful, entertaining sound to their impressive customisation options and solid noise-cancelling skills”. The best price is on the white pair, while all others are around AU$180. Five stars
Sony’s long-in-the-tooth wireless noise-cancelling headphones dominated our Awards for a couple of years following their release, and they’re still great all-rounders. These over-ears sound detailed, dynamic and musical, while battery life, build, comfort and usability are all superb for the money. Five stars
Our current Product of the Year in the wireless headphones category, the Sony XM6s offer class-leading sound and top-notch noise-cancelling, making them one of the best all-rounders in the business. As we said in our review, they “just seem capable of diving into any track you play and extract an unbelievable amount of information”. Five stars
Apple's first-generation AirPods Max took home an Award back in 2021 for several reasons. These noise-cancelling over-ears are wonderful to use, boast spatial audio support and stake their claim as some of the very best-sounding wireless headphones we have heard. Their successor does offer improvements across the board, but this AU$200 discount makes these an easier recommendation. Five stars
As I mentioned earlier, there are plenty more pairs of headphones available during the Prime Day Australia sales, alongside a solid selection of hi-fi components and Bluetooth speakers.
Remember, the majority of these deals are likely to come to an end when Prime Day finishes at 11.59pm on Monday, July 13. You’ll also need to be a Prime member to nab most of them. If you’ve not been a member before, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial.

Max is Editor of Australian Hi-Fi, What Hi-Fi's sister publication in Australia. It wouldn't be his first exposure to the world of all things hi-fi and home cinema, as his first role in technology journalism was with What Hi-Fi? in the UK. Clearly he pined to return after making the move to Australia and the team have welcomed him back with arms wide open.
