Pure has announced a trio of portable DAB radios designed to please music lovers and streaming fans alike.

The travel-friendly Elan DAB+ (£39.99), Elan Connect (£69.99) and Elan Connect+ (£89.99) pick up FM and DAB/DAB+ stations, but can also be paired with with smartphones and laptops via Bluetooth.

Looks-wise, Pure has kept things simple with a choice of Stone Grey or Charcoal finishes, a colour screen, 20+ presents and actual buttons. Excellent news for those who prefer mechanical controls to whizzy touchscreens.

The pricier Elan Connect and Connect+ models add internet radio to the mix, providing you the option to stream over 25,000 weird and wonderful internet radio stations. With 2x3W speakers, the Connect+ might struggle to get the party started but it does sport adjustable bass/treble controls.

Pure's no-nonsense approach continues with the option to power the new Elan series radios with four AA batteries or a USB cable. 3.5mm headphone outputs, which are starting to become something of a rarity thanks to the rise of wireless headphones, are present across the range.

The new Elans are by no means Pure's first foray into the world of streaming. The UK-based DAB radio outfit has already launched several Alexa-powered wireless speakers including the DiscovR (£230) and the waterproof StreamR Splash (£130).
