New from Samsung is a trio of home all-in-one home cinema systems - and one comes complete with video upscaling to 1080P. The HT-TXQ120 claims this feature as a world's first, and backs it up with floorstanding speakers, universal DVD-A/SACD playback and '1000W power'.
The HT-TXQ120 (above) also has a USB input for direct connection of a media player or memory key, HDMI inputs and outputs, MP3/WMA/DivX/JPEG playback, and Samsung's Anynet+ system for remote control of a wide range of external devices via HDMI.
The system sells for around £750, and can be used with Samsung's SWA-3000 wireless module for cable-free rear speakers, which sells for around £90.
Also new from Samsung are two new 'designer' systems, with an innovative main unit designed to be used either vertically or horizontally, USB host capability, DVD-Audio/MP3/WMA/DivX/JPEG playback and the Anynet+ system.
The HT-200R system (below), typically selling for around £300, is a 2.1-channel design with a claimed 300W output, while the similarly-priced HT-X250R is a full 5.1-channel set-up claiming 600W output, adds 1080i video upscaling, and can also be used with the SWA-3000 wireless add-on.
