USB Turntable choice - Pro-Ject Essential w/Art USB Phono Plus, Stanton T92 USB or Pro-Ject Essential USB?
Hi folks-
Just wondering your thoughts regarding a good turntable for archiving vinyl to PC.
Budget is c.£230 (obviously lower is preferable!), but happy to pay for quality.
I already have the original Pro-Ject Phono Box, but sound card is pretty standard on the PC so probably won't have the benefit if I connect from Phono Box to Line-In on the PC..
Should I sell the Pro-Ject Phono Box & change to the Art Phono Box with USB with a non-USB T/T in a combo like this...

Hi Rob-
In the end I plumped for this combo, which was a bit more expensive than the ones I'd originally thought but the rave reviews sold it for me.
My main goal is to digitise/archive my collection, but my thinking for buying these two was the resale value would be (hopefully) good if I decide to eventually sell them.

Hey Andy,
Looks good, I think that you've got a quality set up there. In the end, I decided on the debut mk3, mainly because of the convenience factor compared to setting up a phono stage. Got to say that I'm really happy with it - really good turntable in its own right, and the quality of the digital versions that I've made is great - certainly as good as mp3s that I've made from CDs (at least to my ears, anyway).

Hey Andy, what did you go for in the end? I'm in a similar position and was going to go for a Project debut iii USB, but wasn't convinced that it was worth the extra cash over the essential.
