Vivanco Prowire PW21115 review

This showy looking cable from Vivanco may do the job adequately, but there's better out there for the money Tested at £25

Our Verdict

Does the job adequately, but there are better options available

For

  • Does the job perfectly capably

Against

  • Splashy edge
  • lack of detail
  • lacks drive

Vivanco's Prowire range offers much to admire: its cables are neatly turned out and appear well made, if a little showy to look at (and a little plasticky to the touch).

However, the Prowire's modest price is swiftly laid bare once you listen to it: high frequencies have a splashy edge and a lack of subtle detail; lower down the frequency range, the sound lacks sufficient drive for our tastes.

Does the job, then, but you can also buy better.
