While this £80 cable certainly offers a decent picture, it still can't quite raise itself above average in HDMI terms.
Its colour balance is full of beans without being lurid, and the picture is clean with little sign of noise. But below-par contrast levels mean shades of black aren't as clearly differentiated as via others. With better insight also delivered by rivals, plus a slightly thick midrange delivery, the WireXS has to settle for a mid-table verdict.
