NEWS: IXOS iPod dock is a budget travel companion

Another day, another iPod dock, this time from IXOS. It's part of the firm's new 'First by IXOS' value range, and at just £25, we can't argue with that.

Designed to work with the new iPod Touch, Classic and nano 3 models (as well as older iPod nanos and 30GB iPod Video), the XMI308 recharges your iPod while it's docked.

It runs on four AAA batteries, as well as an optional 6V DC power adaptor, and has a 3.5mm line-in socket for other MP3 players, laptops etc.

The aluminium tube cabinet contains two long-throw alloy cone drivers, and power output is a claimed 2 x 2w.

The XMI308 is available now in silver, pink or black.
