NEWS: Dualit launches DAB Lite radio

We were surprisingly impressed by Dualit's first offering to the radio market, the Dualit DAB kitchen radio offering a stylish finish backed-up by decent sound.

A year or so on and the company has got round to a second release. The DAB Lite radio offers a more affordable option, at £85, and still has the familiar shine and... toaster-like appearance.

The DAB Lite offers a diminutive six watt speaker – it's a mono design – a bass port, 20 presets plus DAB and FM tuners. Dualit can't quite forget its kitchen roots so you'll find a 'handy kitchen timer', as well as the more familiar clock, alarm and snooze functions should you have it in the bedroom. There's also a headphone output for late-night, covert listening.

Power can come courtesy of mains or batteries, and there's a built-in charger for rechargeable batteries. There's also an 'energy efficient switch mode adaptor', which certainly sounds like a nod in the direction of the environment.

Available in three finishes – polished chrome, black and cream – the radio will set you back £85. Check the Dualit website for more information.
