Atacama Europa Ref 6.5 review

Atacama's addition to its popular Europa Reference series looks good but just doesn't have the performance to match Tested at £520.00

Our Verdict

It looks like a million dollars but doesn't have the performance to back it up

For

  • Aesthetically pleasing
  • lively, exciting sound
  • good detailing

Against

  • Unsubtle
  • tonally hard and bright

If aesthetics are your thing, this metal and glass rack will have you salivating.

On the Europa, our rig sounds lively with plenty of punch. Detailing is handled well, although dynamically this Atacama lacks subtlety, while tonally it's too hard and bright.

With Atacama's excellent track record and looks as good as these, that's something of a shame.
