NEWS: Tangent's mono CD radio fills a Cinque in its range

The Cinque table radio from Tangent, rather logically the fifth model in the firm's range, adds CD playback via a slot-loading mechanism, comes in a choice of finishes and is available with or without DAB radio.

Prices start from £190, and the whole range is in the shops from next week via distributor Sennheiser.

The Danish company's latest model has a top-mounted 7.5cm speaker in a bass-reflex enclosure made of solid wood, a 3.5mm stereo input for an iPod or MP3 player, and 3.5mm headphone and line-out sockets. In addition the CD player will handle MP3 and WMA files on CD-R/CD-RW discs.

The Cinque FM is £190 in walnut or £210 in black, white or red gloss, with the Cinque DAB version at £240 in walnut, or £260 glossed.
