NEWS: Keene converter does component to RGB - in HD

New from accessories specialist Keene Electronics is a £100 converter box designed to take component video at up to 1080p and output it as an RGB signal suitable for older projectors and pre-HDMI TVs.

With Scart sockets beginning to vanish from some equipment in favour of HDMI, the Keene C2RGB can take a component connection from a DVD player, for example, and output it via the 15-pin RGBHV socket to the 15-pin socket found on many pre-HDMI TVs. It can also output an interlaced signal via its Scart socket. There are also line stereo audio inputs, and a 3.5mm stereo headphone output.
