Futureglass Gem (Acoustilam glass) review

Delivers refinement with drive and insight, thanks to special glass Tested at £540.00

Our Verdict

Special glass shelves deliver a fine sense of drive and insight.

For

  • Greater refinement, fine sense of drive and insight

Against

  • Sonic characteristics altered, not as good as Atacacma Equinox,

Having previously reviewed the standard Gem rack, we thought we'd investigate the Acoustilam glass version.

The special glass shelves change the sonic characteristics somewhat. Gone is the original's bright, forward presentation, replaced by some-thing with greater refinement.

However, the fine sense of drive and insight hasn't been sacrificed. This rack gets four stars, though, because the Atacama Equinox sounds better still.
