Cyrus CDXTSE2+ or CDXTSE - which one ?
What is the difference between the Cyrus CDXT SE2 (as on Cyrus webpage) and the CDXT SE2+ ? I would have thought the + would be the better system, but it seems to be selling cheaper with mainly ex-demo (2011 models) models rather then new models on sale. Is there something that makes the XTSE2+ inferior to the XTSE2 ?
Thanks, I think the + on CDXTSE2(+) was a mistake on the advert ex-demo sale! As for streaming I probably will gradually but I am a CD and actually getting back into Vinyl junkie - I just find looking at the physical format, art, cd/lp, info, bring me more intrest and curiousity listening to the album/eps/singles then Streaming does. I have tried streaming occasionally on my Marantz MC603 but still personally prefer physical selective play.
I thought the CDXTSE+ was a false name for the CDXTSE2? ( a search on the Cyrus website suggests that the CDXTSE+ never existed).
Yes the CDXTse+ certainly exists and is different to the CDXTse2. Cyrus will upgrade a CDXTse+ to CDXTse2 for £188 see here: http://www.cyrusaudio.com/cyrus-audio-upgrading

In ascending order of Sound quality and reliability:
CDXTse
CDXTse+
CDXTse2
there is no model CDXTse2+
The model to get is the CDXTse2 as the earlier models had some issues with not playing all CD's. They all sound very, very good with the se2 being the best and has solved the earlier disc playing issues.
IMHO rip all yourt CD's to NAS and get the Stream X2 or Stream XP2.
