What Hi-Fi? Verdict

Software-free remote - performs well once the TV and DVD player has been found.

Pros

  • + Software-free, stylish, decent performance

Cons

  • - Scroll wheel is counter-intuitive

As a software-free remote, this works nicely.

Being taken through the set-up on the handset itself is handy for adding new devices when you've mislaid the manual, but scrolling through manufacturers using the joy wheel soon becomes a joyless task.

Still, once the TV or DVD player has been found, the remote performs well, and despite its size, feels comfortable to use. A lot of style for the price, too.
